Bridge 2 Beach Beacon Hill Work Party

For 12 years running, Rainier Chamber has led the “Bridge 2 Beach” (B2B) community-wide clean-up event, with projects hosted by neighborhoods from Mt. Baker to Rainier Beach. Projects range from collecting garbage to weeding and mulching public green spaces, greenbelt restoration, and more. Anyone can sign up to host an event in their community. B2B 2019 takes place on Sat., May 4. BBA will be out again this year hosting another clean-up with Trees for Seattle and Forterra on North Beacon at McClellan Place, the little triangle on the southeast corner of Beacon Ave and  S. McClellan St (catty-corner to Red Apple Market and across from the Beacon Hill Light Rail Station). Beginning at 9:30 AM, we’ll pick up garbage and give some TLC to the area, within about a 2-block radius. We’d love it if you would join us! All materials provided by B2B and BBA. This is a family-friendly event. —> RSVP here. <— Bring friends, family, neighbors, or just yourself. We hope to see you there!

Our 2018 crew at McClellan Place after a successful and inspiring B2B! Board Chair, Robert Hinrix is the sweaty one on the far left (way to put some elbow grease in there, Robert!) and board member, Craig Lorch, and his partner Julia can be seen in the back on the right (blue shirts). Dead center is BBA Director and all-around rockstar, Angela Castañeda, sporting her purple Concuss “Beacon Hill 206” tee.
