After earning a fine arts degree, Abu began working for humanitarian relief and disaster response organizations in his home country of Bangladesh. He was later promoted to senior roles working on business development, budget planning, and women’s economic empowerment. He also served as Chief Designer of Fashion Garments in the pioneering microfinance and community development organization Grameen Bank. His painting style is influenced by the beauty of nature and by the rich history of Asian art, especially Mughal miniature painting.
